MAPI Café
MAPI offers a new gastronomic proposal in Ciudad Vieja dedicated to coffee, gastronomy and art, in a space of the museum specially recovered with a project by the studio Lorieto, Pintos, Santellán Arqs.
We invite you to discover MAPI Café, a cultural refuge to enjoy a good coffee and a special gastronomy in a unique meeting space.
Morning, brunch, lunch and afternoon are always carefully prepared, delicious and healthy proposals at MAPI Café, which also offers special afternoon and evening activities with themed dinners, music, theater, visual arts, conferences, lectures, literature, academic debates, business and diplomatic meetings and much more!

LIBRARY
MAPI Library
Digital Catalog
Digital catalog of the MAPI Library, specialized in anthropology, archeology, art, Latin American thought, among other subjects, and is open to the public for consultation on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The MAPI Library also has the Library Treasures section, which contains books from the Augusto Torres – Elsa Andrada collection, dedicated especially to the indigenous groups of North America, and which can be consulted by appointment, by writing to biblioteca@mapi.uy and justifying the request.
Locations
Location for filming and photography
MAPI offers its facilities as a location for filming and photo shoots.
It has a variety of spaces, from its stately main staircase, the main hall and rooms not yet restored that allow the recreation of different scenarios.
MAPI is part of the Montevidean Locations catalog and received, among other productions, those made by Dress MIX magazine, Revista Galería and Banco Itaú (Brazil).
The unitary “El Vigilante” of the series “Somos” produced by Channel 10 and the video clip of the band Arde Montevideo were also shot at MAPI.
Events
Room rental
MAPI offers its meeting rooms for corporate and institutional events, with all the amenities to receive its clients and friends.
Among other institutions and companies, Johnnie Walker, Antel, Avianca-TACA, Correo Uruguayo, Grupo Santillana and the Embassies of Mexico, Peru and Ecuador have chosen MAPI for their events.
Parking
Private parking service
Monday to Friday from 8 am to 8 pm.
Our parking service is located in front of the MAPI building, on 25 de Mayo Street, offering comfort and security for your vehicle.
With constant surveillance during 12 hours, your car will be safe at all times.
Our ample capacity allows availability for numerous vehicles.
In addition to providing protection, we offer a cleaning service so that you leave with your car impeccable.
