3D MAPI in the Metaverse: an innovative and disruptive experience

Discover the MAPI Virtual Exhibition from anywhere

MAPI enters the Metaverse with an innovative proposal developed by Valentina Golubei, which eliminates geographical barriers and expands its reach globally. Using the Spatial.io platform, MAPI offers a new way to interact with its collection, giving visitors a unique and immersive experience.

One of the major problems museums face is the inability to display their entire collections, and a large percentage of the objects they hold are rarely or never seen by visitors. MAPI in the Metaverse offers the possibility of displaying pieces currently in storage, allowing users to tour the virtual museum with an avatar, as if they were in the real world.

In this first phase, MAPI 3D users will be able to “visit” archaeologist Arturo Lezama’s collection, from the Salto Grande Rescue Mission. This collection is comprised of 66 pieces digitized with photorealistic models, thanks to the use of Artificial Intelligence. It is a unique opportunity to observe these valuable objects in detail and learn more about their history and context.

MAPI 3D in the Metaverse will also feature virtual events, educational programs, and guided tours accessible from anywhere in the world.

We invite you to explore this innovative MAPI exhibition in the Metaverse. Access it for free from any device and immerse yourself in an unprecedented cultural experience. Discover, learn, and enjoy cultural heritage in a virtual environment that transcends physical limitations. See you in the Metaverse!
