Horacio J. Spinetto (Buenos Aires, 1950) is a prominent figure in the cultural universe of the Río de la Plata. A visual artist, an architect trained at the UBA, a museologist, and a teacher, throughout his career he has combined visual creation with reflection on the urban environment, heritage, and collective memory.

His work is characterized by a poetic and affectionate gaze on cities, their characters, and their corners. “Celeste Impressions” is an intimate homage to Montevideo, a collection of drawings and paintings imbued with the light and color of the urban landscape, with nostalgia for the cafés, the silences, and the bonds between two shores.

The exhibition brings together pieces that dialogue with the Uruguayan artistic tradition, evoking names such as Blanes, Torres García, Petrona Viera, Barradas, Cúneo, and Sábat, and that build an emotional bridge with the city through the artist’s sensibility.

Through an aesthetic that fuses the everyday with the dreamlike, the architectural with the human, Spinetto offers a serene and deeply affectionate view of Montevideo.
