MAPI presents “Memoria del Fuego”, based on Eduardo Galeano’s trilogy of the same name, on the 30th anniversary of the first edition.
The work traces the history of the native peoples of Latin America from a mythical past to the 1980s, combining historical references with details typical of epic poetry, essay and novel resources.

The exhibition includes the original drawings made by the Argentine artist Luis Felipe Noé for a special edition published by the newspaper Página/12, as well as texts, manuscripts, photographs and covers of editions in several languages provided by the Uruguayan writer, who accompanied us in the production of the project.
