The exhibition “Drawings” by artists Luis Díaz and Arturo Vilaamil, curated by Rafael Pali Lorente, was inaugurated at MAPI Café, with the presence of the French Ambassador, Jean-Paul Seytre, the Cultural Attaché of Argentina, Minister Melina Strakalaitis and the Director of Arts and Sciences of the Municipality of Montevideo, Antonio Salgueiro, together with the Director of MAPI, Facundo de Almeida, the curator and the artists. Luis Díaz y Arturo Villaamil se insertan en esta tradición de dibujantes y artistas. Ambos son entrañables amigos personales, uno Platense y el otro Celeste -Bretón, uno hincha visceral de Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata y el otro Bolso-Tricolor a muerte. Ambos comprometidos con sus circunstancias y su tiempo. Ambos relevantes arquitectos. Ambos talentosos dibujantes y es por allí que comienza esta historia. Cuando escribo estas líneas aún no se conocen y esta exposición inicia el diálogo a partir de la obra.
