MAPI is taking part in the First “Collections and Connections” Academic Conference, organized by the National History Museum, taking place from November 5 to 7 at Casa Rivera (Rincón 437).

The conference seeks to create a space for reflection and exchange on the challenges, disciplines and experiences involved in the work of museums and their professionals, addressing topics such as documentation, conservation, education and ties with the community.

Speakers: Giuliana Mardero, Magdalena Muttoni, Rafael Perroux, Constanza Rivero and Jonathan Sandoval.

Discussants: Silvana Tanca and Magdalena Muttoni.

🕓 Session from 4:00 pm to 5:20 pm

Topic: Museums Visit Colonia: science, heritage and community.

A joint presentation with the Museum of Anthropology, the National Museum of Natural History, the Soriano Museums, and the Eastern Regional University Center (CURE).
