This coming December 13, the Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art (MAPI) opens its doors for a new edition of Museums at Night, an evening that has become a classic of Montevideo’s cultural calendar. From 6:00 pm to 12:00 am (with last entry at 11:30 pm), we invite you to enjoy a unique cultural experience that combines art, music, and traditions.

In this edition, we will have the honor of featuring a performance by the prestigious De Profundis vocal ensemble, directed by Maestra Cristina García Banegas, who will present their program “Motets: 17th to 20th Centuries”, a musical journey that promises to be one of the highlights of the night.

In addition, visitors will be able to tour our permanent and temporary exhibitions, which offer a journey through the cultural richness of Latin America:

-Claudio Rama Collection of Latin American Masks
-Exhibition of Ecuadorian Archaeomusicology
-Masks of Nicaragua
-Giant Kites of Guatemala
