The MAPI presents its new Carnival Masks Permanent Gallery, a space dedicated to the richness and diversity of this festivity in Latin America.

The exhibition brings together unique pieces from the carnivals of Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay, reflecting each country’s cultural identity through its festive expressions. Every mask and costume on display tells a story, connecting the present with the ancestral traditions that have given life to these popular celebrations.

The gallery offers an in-depth look at the symbolic, aesthetic, and cultural meanings of masks in different regions of Latin America.
