Ojitos de Dios – Wixárika Culture

A workshop on traditional Wixárika amulets led by Julieta Sánchez – Mexico

As part of the Night of the Museums, we invite you to take part in the workshop “Ojitos de Dios – Wixárika Culture,” led by Julieta Sánchez (Mexico).

Ojitos de Dios are traditional amulets of the Wixárika culture, woven with colored threads over a wooden cross and linked to the five cardinal points. Through their symbolism and their handcrafted making, participants will be able to approach this cultural tradition and create their own amulet to take home.
