Opening soon: Emberá, a journey to the ancestral heart of Panama

MAPI and the Embassy of Panama in Uruguay open a photography exhibition by Willian Izzi dedicated to the culture and traditions of the Emberá people.

The MAPI – Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art and the Embassy of Panama in Uruguay invite you to the opening of Emberá: A Journey to the Ancestral Heart of Panama, a new photography exhibition by Willian Izzi.

The exhibition offers a visual journey that brings the public closer to the culture and traditions of the Emberá people, through images that provide a sensitive look at Panama’s Indigenous communities.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover their bonds with nature and the endurance of ancestral knowledge, in an encounter between image, memory and identity.
