The MAPI – Museum of Pre-Columbian and Indigenous Art, the Embassy of Mexico in Uruguay and Castells Remates present The Wedding of Frida and Diego: From Coyoacán to Montevideo, a cultural and culinary event that invites you to relive one of the most emblematic scenes in the history of Latin American art.

On September 24 at 8:00 pm, MAPI will be the setting for an immersive experience recreating the dinner served at the first wedding of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, held in 1929 at the home of Tina Modotti.

The evening offers a journey back in time where art, history and Mexican cuisine intertwine in an intimate and exclusive setting.

As part of this initiative, 15 individual seats will be auctioned. Each ticket grants access to the dinner and the chance to take a seat at a table inspired by a historic moment in Latin American art.

The dinner will be recreated by Mexican chef Mannu Sánchez, whose career combines haute cuisine, cultural research and the performing arts. His approach turns the menu into a narrative experience, in which Mexican cuisine is not only tasted but also interpreted and lived.

•Chiles rellenos filled with picadillo
•Black mole from Oaxaca
•Red pozole from Jalisco
•Flan

Tickets will be awarded through an online public auction organized by Castells Remates.
