In Micromundo, Franco Centurión uses painting to build a universe inhabited by architectures, organic forms, small characters and objects that seem to exist under their own rules.

The works present suspended scenes, spaces where the minimal takes center stage and where emptiness, distance and silence cease to be mere backgrounds and become an active part of the image. The different elements appear isolated, relate to one another across space, or seem to form part of narratives whose beginning and ending remain open.

In these scenarios, scale transforms the way we look. The small can become monumental; a seemingly everyday object can concentrate a story, and a tiny figure can completely change the perception of the space around it.

Centurión’s painting thus proposes an experience based on observation and discovery. Faced with images that do not seek to reveal everything at once, viewers are invited to pause, explore the details and establish their own connections between forms, characters and situations.
